One man is capturing hearts online with his creative proposal, inspired by the iconic marching band scene from 10 Things I Hate About You.

In the now-viral TikTok video posted by @melberinger, the bride-to-be is strolling along a path next to the Chicago River when she spots her sister standing off in the distance recording.

Suddenly, her boyfriend emerges in the background, impeccably dressed in a tuxedo. She gasps in disbelief as she realizes what's unfolding before her eyes.

Then, as if out of the movie, a band positioned on the bridge begins to play "Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” by Frankie Valli, recreating the unforgettable moment from the romantic comedy where Patrick Verona (played by Heath Ledger) crashes one of Kat Stratford’s (played by Julia Stiles) soccer practices and commences the school orchestra to play the same song.

"He totally nailed it," the video reads.

As the song begins playing, the boyfriend holds up a microphone and starts singing and dancing along. Slowly, he makes his way over to his girlfriend, who's standing, laughing, and crying. The two eventually meet up and share a hug before the groom-to-be gets down on one knee.

After saying "yes," the voices of people cheering are caught on camera.
