The Grizzled Young Vets will face former champions in their AEW debut.
On April 25, AEW announced that the Grizzled Young Vets (James Drake and Zack Gibson) would be in action on the April 27 episode of AEW Collision. This would mark their debut for the company.
AEW then confirmed that the Grizzled Young Vets would face former AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed Saturday night on Collision.

Grizzled Young Veterans vs. The Acclaimed
We’ll hear from AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland for the first time
Gibson and Drake previously spent several years with WWE; they had a prominent run as the Grizzled Young Veterans, and they held the NXT UK Tag Team Championship. The duo requested their release and later left the company in September 2023 after their contracts expired. They have since returned to the independent scene, and they have been working for TNA as well.
