Grimes Joins Ashnikko on New Song “Cry”: Watch the Video
Ascendant TikTok star Ashnikko has released a new song, “Cry,” featuring Grimes. The track comes with a CGI-animated video directed by Mike Anderson that’s heavily inspired by anime, with mechas and dancing humanoids galore. According to a press release, the visual “depicts Ashnikko and Grimes mutating and metamorphosing into a demon alter ego of Ashnikko stalking her prey as the two sing ‘this could get gruesome’—the aftermath of a brutal betrayal.” Check that out below.
Ashnikko came to prominence at the end of last year for her viral hit “STUPID,” featuring Yung Baby Tate. Grimes, whose latest album Miss Anthropocene was released earlier this year, recently put a “part of her soul” on sale as part of her first-ever art exhibition.
