Grimes' set became one of the most talked about performances at Coachella — no thanks to the technical difficulties that she experienced.

The electronic star, 36, took to the stage at Coachella Weekend 1 on Saturday, April 13 and experienced a handful of issues throughout her set, due to her tracks being sped up too fast. She opened up about the errors while on stage — screaming multiple times out of frustration — and later issued an apology on X (formerly Twitter).

According to footage of the Indio, California music festival that surfaced on social media, Grimes (whose real name is Claire Boucher) appeared visibly stressed as she reached the midway point of her set and experienced problems with the tempo of the songs queued up in her mixing deck.

"All of my tracks are double the tempo. I'm trying to do the math, but they're kind of unfixable," she said at one point, trying to explain to the crowd why she was pausing her performance and restarted several songs.

"It will continue," the indie star added of her set. "Just don't blame me because it's not my fault. Well, it's partially my fault, but it's not entirely my fault."

While trying to come up with solutions on the spot for the remainder of the show, the "Oblivion" singer also said, "Don’t judge me for being bad at calculating things. Being bad at math is not a sin."

Grimes was also captured screaming and yelling expletives as she attempted to remedy the situation.

Throughout her Sahara Stage set, the "Genesis" singer thanked the audience for bearing with her and apologized, but she issued a formal statement on X shortly after she got off stage.

"I want to apologize for the technical issues with the show tonight," Grimes wrote.

In the Canadian artist's post, she provided more context to what had happened, explaining that she did not prep her mix deck herself, as she usually does. The Art Angels artist clarified, "to save time this was one of the first times I've outsourced essential things like rekordbox bpm's and letting someone else organize the tracks on the sd card etc. I had a bad feeling beforehand not having run everything thru the cdjs myself and tho I flagged it I wasn't insistent."

Grimes continued by opening up about the "big lesson" she learned from the experience, noting the importance of doing things yourself if "u want it done right" and to "be a c--- even if ppl feel bad."

She promised to be more engaging with the crowd, should malfunctions happen in the future, and reassured fans that nothing would go wrong when she performs at Coachella Weekend 2 on Saturday, April 20.

"I will personally organize all the files next week. I will not let such a thing happen again," said the musician. "I've spent months on this show, making music and visuals, and admittedly am not in the best mood atm. But, yeh - next week will be flawless, everything will run thru my hands."

"Some good lessons learned. Bless y'all. The cdjs were showing me bpms like 370 so I couldn't even mix manually by ear and the front monitors were off so it was literally sonic chaos on my end trying to guess how stuff was sounding for u guys," she concluded, signing the note by asking for forgiveness and wishing her fans "love, always."
