Brooke Shields and Grier Hammond Henchy are the embodiment of “like mother, like daughter.”

The 17-year-old daughter of Shields and Chris Henchy took a page from her mother’s stylebook — and wardrobe — as she wore a vintage Badgley MIschka dress that her mother previously wore in the early 2000s.

Henchy shone in the ensemble while posing for photos at the Bird Hand in Wine’s celebration of her mother’s opening night at the Café Carlyle (titled, appropriately, "Previously Owned by Brooke Shields"). The square-neckline dress features several sparkly sequins from the top to the bottom and transitions into a slightly more sheer look toward the bottom of the dress to show off the legs.

Shields, 58, originally wore it 22 years ago during Marshall Field's Fash Bash at Chicago Theater in Chicago. She was photographed at the event posing with the other Fash Bash models in the dress on stage and they even recreated the Hollywood Issue cover of Vanity Fair taken that year.

While Henchy followed suit in wearing no jewelry with the dress, silver heels and natural makeup, she did add her own twist to the look. She styled her hair in light loose waves around her shoulders, while her mother had her hair pinned back in a straightened hairdo.

Shields commented on the rewear on her Instagram, writing, "Two of my most favorite recent moments… each 22 years apart ❤️ This week Grier wore my @badgleymischka dress from 2001 to my @cafecarlyle premiere!! And #tbt to Rowan wearing my golden globes dress to prom. How cool is this?! 👯‍♀️."

However, their taste in fashion isn’t the only thing they have in common. The teen is following in her mom's footsteps in the fashion industry, but Shields admitted she wasn't always keen on the idea. The Brooke Shields: Pretty Baby documentary star revealed on Live with Kelly and Mark in June that she initially had reservations about Henchy following her path as a model.

"The rules have changed since I was [a model],” Shields told the hosts. “I fought it for so long. It’s such a different industry now than it was.”

She said the 17-year-old also aspired to do runway, something Shields never wound up doing during her fashion career and which she described as “brutal.” However, the Blue Lagoon star said she eventually conceded — with certain conditions.

“I finally had to give in and say if you’re gonna do this a.) I’m not gonna be your manager. You're going to be with an agency. You’re going to have a great work ethic. It’s not going to be comfortable and you're gonna listen to me,” Shields explained of her guidelines, adding that Henchy also needed to enroll in college.
