Grey's Anatomy is bringing back Abigail Spencer

Sis is back!

Abigail Spencer revealed via Instagram on Tuesday that she will reprise her role as Owen’s younger sister, Megan, for an upcoming episode (or two?) of Grey’s Anatomy.

As is usually the case, ABC is mum about why the red-haired sissy is coming back to Seattle. Perhaps it has something to do with her brother (Kevin McKidd) having a baby with Teddy (Kim Raver)?

Spencer took over the part of Megan from Bridget Regan and was last seen in season 14. The character served in the Army as a trauma surgeon with Owen, as well as Teddy and Nathan (Martin Henderson) — who is now her fiancé.

Megan has supposedly been off raising her son, Farouk, with Nathan, who’s not expected to return to Grey’s.

Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
