‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Casts ‘Brothers & Sisters’ Alum in Mystery Role

“Grey’s Anatomy” has added Marika Dominczyk in a guest role, Variety has learned.

The “Brothers & Sisters” alum joins the ABC medical drama in the current 13th season, though no details have been released regarding how many episodes she will appear in or when she will first appear.

Character details for Dominczyk’s role are being under wraps, though her character’s name is Eliza Minnick.

While the new role is unknown, one possibility is a potential love interest for Arizona (Jessica Capshaw). With Callie (Sara Ramirez) no longer in Arizona’s life — or on the show — the single doc is expected to get some newfound romance this season. Capshaw recently told Variety that the new love interest will be introduced “somewhere leading up to the middle of the season.” She added, “you will see her spreading her wings and flying a bit.”

On the topic of potential love interests for Arizona, last week, we reported that “Grey’s” alum Tessa Ferrer is reprising her role as Leah Murphy — Arizona’s former flame — though her upcoming storyline is also being kept under wraps.

Aside from ABC’s “Brothers & Sisters,” Dominczyk’s credits include “The 40 Year-Old Virgin” and “Who Do You Love.”
