Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld was called out by his fellow show host Jessica Tarlov on Monday for saying that the female host was “too emotional” when discussing the attack of Paul Pelosi and conspiracy theories surrounding the incident.

“HR watches this by the way,” Tarlov told Gutfeld during the Monday airing of “The Five,” after she responded to Gutfeld that her voice being at a higher pitch than his does not translate into being “emotional.”

“Is that a threat? Good for you” Gutfeld retorted while laughing.

The Fox News hosts were discussing Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter when Tarlov pointed out that Musk contributed to the conspiracy theory that Pelosi’s alleged David DePape was in a relationship with Pelosi when he responded to a Hillary Clinton tweet condemning lies by saying “There is a tiny possibility there might be more to this story than meets the eye” in a now-deleted tweet.

“The Republican Party and its mouthpieces now regularly spread hate and deranged conspiracy theories,” the former Secretary of State tweeted Saturday. “It is shocking, but not surprising, that violence is the result. As citizens, we must hold them accountable for their words and the actions that follow.”

Gutfeld interrupted Tarlov to argue that Clinton also contributed to the conspiracy theories by saying that the conspiracy was created by right-wing party members.

“Elon Musk is the CEO of that company,” Tarlov shot back, adding that the new Twitter boss was spreading lies. “Hillary Clinton — you can say whatever you want about her — but it has nothing to do with this.”

Despite attempting to shut down the criticism of Clinton, Gutfeld responded that Clinton was “spreading lies” as well and brushed off the concern by saying it was “a joke.”

“See, look at you, you are getting too emotional about this,” Gutfeld said. “You should be enjoying the speech.”

“It’s not enjoyable to spread disinformation,” Tarlov explained while her fellow panelists Dana Perino, Jesse Watters, and Katie Pavlich began laughing at the situation.

“Greg, you just told a woman she’s being ‘too emotional,'” Watters said while chuckling. “Relax, Jessica,” he continued when Tarlov reminded the men that HR watches the shows. “I shouldn’t tell a woman to relax,” he backtracked.

Fox News did not comment when reached by TheWrap on Monday.
