Greg Capullo and Jonathan Hickman Partner Up On Wolverine: Revenge!

Superstar artist Greg Capullo made waves with his return to Marvel in 2023. Now, he stands ready to deliver on his promise of something big to come in 2024. Capullo will join with writer Jonathan Hickman on a bloody new miniseries titled Wolverine: Revenge!

Published just in time for the character’s 50th anniversary, Wolverine: Revenge! will spin a vicious tale, pitting Logan against some of his greatest adversaries. Deadpool, Omega Red and Sabertooth are just some of the dancing partners lined up on Logan’s card. Beyond that, all that is certain is that he’ll get another chance to show why he’s the best there is at what he does.

Wolverine: Revenge! Will Have a Red-Band Edition

Any adventure pitting Logan against his most hated enemies is sure to be bloody. However, Marvel Comics is pulling out all the stops for Wolverine: Revenge! The miniseries will also be released in a special polybagged Red Band Edition, with exclusive pages and elevated violence. The Red-Band Edition will also feature more intense variant covers. Naturally, all the covers and interiors are provided by Greg Capullo.

“I’ve finally returned home to Marvel, and I’m ready to raise some Hell. And, who better to do that with than the Hitman Hickman?” enthused Capullo. “Marvel has removed the fences and let us off our leash so that we can bring the most vicious and punishing Wolverine story possible to the fans this summer. I hope they’re prepared.”

Hickman was equally excited about the partnership, saying it was “a privilege to get to work with a legend like Greg.” Hickman further promised fans “a high-octane, no-hold-barred story that was a proper celebration of both the character and Greg returning to Marvel.”

Both editions of Wolverine: Revenge! #1 arrive in comic shops everywhere on August 21, 2024.
