Greenville is a real 'Party on College Ave'

Apr. 19—GREENVILLE — The Greenville High School Steel Drum Band made local TV Friday night with more bands to follow.

They played in the first "Party on College Ave" at Riverside Park in Greenville.

The Greenville High School Steel Drum Band was established in 1989 in order to provide students with a unique music experience incorporating styles, rhythms, and traditions of the Caribbean culture.

The free event was presented by NHL Entertainment and Thiel College Television— better known as TCTV. Austin and the Powers played later on Friday evening.

Tonight starting at 5 p.m. more adult-oriented musicians will be playing at the park featuring rap artists, including Dumper Nae, HateUno with the main event mezzonmars!

Local pop-up artisan shops will be at Saturday's event along with cornhole and a food truck is expected.

In case of rain the festival will be moved to Passavant Center at Thiel College's campus.

TCTV will eventually upload their footage featuring coverage by students to YouTube along with photos for TCTV Studio's X page, formerly known as Instagram.
