As relates to their giant 2024 tour, it's not just a question of when — but where — Green Day will come around.

The Bay Area punks will visit Missouri, then play a show just across the Show Me State's border, days apart in August. Here's what we know so far.

When and where will Green Day play Missouri?

The tour will hit Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis Aug. 15.

After veering over to Minneapolis, the band will venture back, playing just a stone's throw across the Missouri-Kansas border with an Aug. 20 show at the Kansas City-area venue Azura Amphitheatre.

Who will else will play on the bill?

Support for this leg of the tour will come from punk-rock legends Rancid as well as The Linda Lindas, an all-female band from Los Angeles that formed as teens and gained notoriety when a clip of them playing "Racist, Sexist Boy" in a public library went viral.

What pivotal albums will Green Day celebrate on tour?

Next year is a big one for Green Day. As outlets like Pitchfork have noted, 2024 marks 30 years of their breakthrough "Dookie," 20 years of the political pop-punk opus "American Idiot" and will welcome the new Green Day record, "Saviors."

Will Smashing Pumpkins be on these shows?

Unfortunately no. The Billy Corgan-led rock vehicle is playing many of the bigger stadium dates on the Green Day tour — including the intervening show at Minneapolis' Target Field, home of baseball's Twins — but will not make it to St. Louis or Kansas City.

Billy Corgan performs with The Smashing Pumpkins at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023.
