Green Day is bringing 2024 stadium tour to Milwaukee with Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, more

When Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong teased a 2024 stadium tour at a Las Vegas gig last month, Milwaukee fans had every reason not to get their hopes up.
After all, the seminal pop-punk veterans headlined the Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival just this past July, and that was just the band's second Milwaukee show in the past 19 years.
And yet, Green Day is coming back to Milwaukee on that stadium tour.
Announced Thursday morning, "The Saviors Tour," named after Green Day's forthcoming album "Saviors," will visit 26 cities from late July to late September. As Armstrong said last month, the tour will include Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and the Linda Lindas.
The Milwaukee date will be at American Family Field on Aug. 24.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 10 at greenday.com, with Citi cardholders and fan club members getting presale access beginning Tuesday. Prices have yet to be announced.
