Green Day announce world tour dates at intimate venues
Green Day are embarking on a world tour to support their forthcoming album Revolution Radio, out Oct. 7, but instead of playing arenas and massive stages like they have in the past, the famed rockers will hit smaller, intimate club stages in North America and Europe. Stops will include shows at Los Angeles' Palladium, New York's Webster Hall, Washington, D.C.'s 9:30 Club, and Boston's House of Blues.
The North American tour will kick off on Sept. 20 in St. Louis, and will run until Oct. 20, when they play in Berkeley, California. Tickets will be available for Idiot Nation members on Sept. 7 at 9 a.m. local time, and for general ticket holders on Sept. 9 at 9 a.m. local time.
"We’re going into this record cycle with a lot of gratitude, a lot of humility," Green Day drummer Tré Cool told EW earlier this year. "We just really do enjoy the sh-- out of being in a rock & roll band with our best friends.”
Green Day will then head to Europe in January to perform dates through February, and then select dates in June at Germany's Hurricane and Southside Festivals.
