The Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Chargers faced off six days ago but we are just now learning about fines. A day before the majority of Week 6’s games, one Cleveland player and two Los Angeles players have been fined for Week 5 actions.

Browns cornerback Greedy Willimas was fined $9,508 while Chargers receiver Jalen Guyton was fined $4,722 for offsetting taunting penalties.

The play that led to the fines came late in the fourth quarter with Cleveland clinging to a seven-point lead and Los Angeles driving. Guyton caught a pass for 21 yards when the interaction between the two occurred.

Derwin James had the largest fine from the game, $10,300, following him grabbing Kareem Hunt’s face mask. James did draw a penalty for the play as well.

The game was tied at the time and Hunt had just completed a 13-yard reception. The James’ face mask penalty tacked on an additional 15 yards. The Browns scored four plays later to take the lead.
