There's no better way to celebrate a holiday than by giving back. And with Thanksgiving kicking off the holiday season, celebrities are getting out into their communities and doing good for others.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made the holidays a little different this year, having infected more than 12.5 million people in the United States, alone, according to Johns Hopkins data, throwing a wrench into travel plans and altering traditional family gatherings.

But across the country, celebs, including Justin Timberlake, Tracy Morgan, CeeLo Green and Kodak Black, among others, have been undeterred in helping families in need by passing out goods including turkeys, groceries.

Justin Timberlake gifts accessible van to teen with cerebral palsy

Timberlake donated a wheelchair-accessible van to 17-year-old Jake Stitt in the star's hometown of Morristown, Tennessee on Wednesday after coming across the teen's fundraiser.

"I heard there was a goal to try to get this van before Thanksgiving. I heard your story and saw a little news clip about it," Timberlake said to Stitt and his father over Zoom.

Timberlake continued: "I was so moved that I want you guys to have this van. I'm going to cover all the costs. I want you guys to have a great holiday. You inspire me, Jake."

Stitt, who has cerebral palsy, ecstatically said "thank you!"

The teen's family had raised $35,000 for the van before Timberlake came to the rescue, according to local news WVLT, so they will be able to use the funds to care for Stitt.

"You guys got to use this van so you can honk all over town now," Timberlake said.

Tracy Morgan, CeeLo Green, French Montana, Kodak Black pass out turkeys

Singer CeeLo Green surprised hundreds of families with turkeys at Nouveau Bar & Grill's Inaugural Turkey Drive in the Atlanta area on Tuesday.

Families were able to pick up a turkey plus a COVID-19 "survival kit" according to a release, which contained sanitizer, masks and gloves.

That same day, "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan handed out 1,200 turkeys at the Mott Haven Community Center in the Bronx, as well as volunteering at the Food Bank for New York, his rep Tess Speakman confirmed to USA TODAY.

A day earlier, rapper French Montana teamed up with City Harvest to hand out turkeys to New Yorkers in need, according to News 12 and TMZ.

Earlier in the month, rapper Kodak Black also held a "drive-up" turkey giveaway in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Tyler Perry Studios gives out food, gift cards

Over the weekend, Tyler Perry's Tyler Perry Studios hosted "#TPSGiving," a first-come, first-serve event providing groceries and gift cards to 5,000 families in need.

"We are excited to announce the #TPSGiving Food Giveaway event on Sunday, November 22nd from 8:00am to 12:00pm," Tyler Perry Studios wrote in a tweet. "During this drive-up event, we will be distributing non-perishable food items and gift cards to people who are in need during this holiday season."

Emilie Ikeda, a Fox 5 reporter from Atlanta who covered the giveaway, tweeted that cars lined up hours in advance.

"The first car in line got here at 3pm...YESTERDAY," Ikeda wrote on Twitter while sharing a video. "#TPSGiving starts at 8am. Already, lines extend miles long, causing back-ups on Langford Pkwy and I-20."

She added, "People tell me the need is greater than ever."

According to CNN, volunteers at the food drive donned personal protective equipment to hand out the supplies.
