The new Grateful Dead x Sanuk release brings two styles — a down-jacket-inspired Puffy Chiller slip-on and fuzzy Furreal flip-flops — both featuring playful colors and subtle nods to the legendary rock band.
On the Puffer Chiller slippers, fans will spot a dancing bear above the outsole and a patterned collar in Grateful Dead colors. Ideal for lounging around the house on cold days, the slippers boast fluffy faux fur throughout, a collapsible heel, and puffer jacket-style lining for added warmth. They also feature a sturdy outsole (which you don’t always see on slippers) for, say, taking out the trash or walking the dog.
The Furreal sandals, meantime, somehow pull off “winter flip-flops” thanks to a thick faux fur lining on the footbed and straps. Materials are all soft and cozy, from the thick outsole to the suede uppers. Of course, you’ll also see the signature dancing bear on the strap too.

As with all Sanuk products, build quality is excellent on both the Puffer slip-ons and the Furreal sandals. Although they’re meant for chilling, the kicks are still rugged enough for a rock scramble down to the beach, and they get comfier with wear.
This new capsule is the seventh release from Sanuk and the Grateful Dead, and retains the collaboration’s focus on sustainability. Materials include faux fur, recycled polyester, and even sugarcane.
Previous Sanuk x Grateful Dead launches have included similar Dead-inspired sandals, slippers, and sneakers — some of which have sold out within days of their release. But most pieces have been continuously restocked, and can still be shopped at Sanuk.com.
