A graphic reminder for Arizona tourists during Super Bowl week

A striking image showing a coyote stuck in the grill of a vehicle is being used to remind sports fans gathered in Arizona to exercise caution on roadways.

“Be careful out there!” the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center exclaimed via Facebook.

“Locals have no doubt noticed, there are A LOT of visitors in town this week for the Super Bowl, the Waste Management Open, and Barrett-Jackson – all at once!”

The Super Bowl, featuring the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, will be played in Glendale.

The PGA’s Waste Management Phoenix Open will be held this week in Scottsdale, where the Barrett-Jackson classic-cars auction just concluded.

The Arizona Game & Fish Department shared the Facebook post Monday and added: “It’s a real photo of a coyote caught in a grill after it was hit by a this car – amazingly it survived the incident and was OK, but keep an eye out for wildlife on the road!”

The coyote incident occurred in 2021.
