Grandchildren of Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn to perform in Chillicothe

CHILLICOTHE — Fans of country music will be excited as the grandchildren of legendary singers Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn will soon be performing at the Majestic Theatre.

Tre Twitty and Tayla Lynn have been a duo since 2018 after performing their first show in 2016. The two met at Loretta's concert Remembering Conway. Lynn said she previously spent time working on her own record deals and writing her own songs but her grandmother's music has always been a part of her life, she even traveled with Loretta to shows.

After performing with Twitty once and seeing the reaction the team decided to pair up and create a performance to celebrate their families.

"Tre and I are huge fans of Conway and Loretta," said Lynn. "we adore our grandparents."

While performing Twitty and Lynn sing duets and hits originally performed by their grandparents. while they take great inspiration from their relatives Lynn tells audiences that the show is not an impersonation.

"We're not impersonators," said Lynn. "Don't come in there thinking you're going to see two people pretending to be Conway and Loretta."

Lynn said the performance is more of a journey as the duo tells the audience about Conway and Loretta and how they were as performers, friends and grandparents.

The group also involves the audience throughout the show making it interactive and fun for everyone who attends. Lynn said the duo loves the intimacy of smaller venues that allow the crowd to participate in the show. Both are extremely grateful to the fans of their grandparents who have accepted and welcomed them.

Twitty and Lynn also work on records together which are half Conway and Loretta and half Tre and Tayla.

While performing hundreds of shows over recent years Lynn said she has enjoyed visiting all the new towns and seeing the local attractions.
