Grammys 2020: Lizzo Wins Best Urban Contemporary Album
Lizzo has won the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album. The deluxe edition of 2019 LP CUZ I LOVE YOU beat out projects from Steve Lacy (Apollo XXI), Georgia Anne Muldrow (Overload), NAO (Saturn), and Jessie Reyez (Being Human in Public EP).
Lizzo was the most-nominated artist at the 2020 Grammys: She was recognized for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best R&B Performance, and, of course, Best Urban Contemporary album. She won Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Jerome.”
