Grammys 2020: Joy Villa continues her streak of Donald Trump-inspired red carpet looks

Joy Villa's streak of wearing conservative-inspired outfits on the red carpet continues.

The singer arrived on the Grammys red carpet Sunday in a white overcoat with blue and white star detailing and a huge red feather in her hair, carrying a clutch bedazzled with the GOP elephant.

Further down the carpet, she opened the coat to reveal a skin-tight, bright red gown with "TRUMP 2020" written in white lettering down the front. "IMPEACHED & RE-ELECTED" covered the back of the dress.

This year's ensemble is by Desi Allinger of Desi Designs, Villa confirmed. The designer also created her 2019 Grammys border wall-inspired outfit.

The singer arrived at last year's awards show in a silver dress, barbed wire shoulder details and a spiked metal headpiece. She also carried a red purse with the words "Make America Great Again" across the front.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last year, Villa said she loves what President Donald Trump is doing in office.

"Unemployment is down," she said. "I am totally for President Trump, and it's only been one year. I can't wait for the next seven years!"

She added that her outfits are a way to express herself.

"It's an opportunity to show the world who I am on the red carpet, which to me is the same as a stage. I approach it as a show. I want to 'wow' people," she told THR. "My heroes on the red carpet have always been Cher, Madonna, the wild ones; the worst dressed. Or Lady Gaga with the meat dress. Who even talks about the best dressed? No one even remembers who was best-dressed last year!"

Villa wasn't the only one at the 2020 Grammys making a political statement: Model Megan Pormer showed up with a patriotic look of her own. She wore a glittery strapless red dress that read "NO WAR (heart) IRAN." Her cape held the U.S. flag on one side and the Iranian flag on the other.
