Grammys 2019: Laurie Anderson Wins First Grammy

It was her fourth nomination since 1984

Today at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, Laurie Anderson won her first-ever Grammy. Her Kronos Quartet collaboration Landfall won the award for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance. It was Anderson’s fourth nomination. Her first nomination came in 1984—“Gravity’s Angel” was up for Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocals.
