Grammy winning jazz duo to play Moline

Less than a year after two Grammy winners performed at the Sound Conservatory in downtown Rock Island, the same musicians are returning to the music store and concert venue in downtown Moline this Saturday.

You can immerse yourself in the spellbinding fusion of jazz brilliance with Grammy-winning trumpeter John Daversa and Grammy-winning virtuoso pianist Tal Cohen on Saturday, April 13, at 6:30 p.m., at Sound Conservatory, 504 17th Street, Moline.

Their dynamic collaboration transcends boundaries, captivating audiences with mesmerizing improvisations and soulful melodies, according to a Sound Conservatory release.

“Experience the magic as they push the boundaries of musical expression, delivering unforgettable performances that redefine the jazz experience. Don’t miss your chance to witness the synergy of two maestros as they ignite the stage with their unparalleled talent and passion,” the release says.

As Jonathan Widran says in his JW Vibe, “…The Art of Duo proves that when musical soul mates are destined to join forces and create jazz transcendence, nothing can stop them.”

Daversa and Cohen (who played at Sound Conservatory July 1, 2023) will perform material from The Art of Duo, Vol. 1 and more. Refreshments will be available for sale, brought to you by the Fifth Avenue Syndicate and Lagom Seasonings.

Tickets are $12 to $45, available HERE.
