They went toe-to-toe with White Walkers. They faced the masters of Slaver’s Bay. One is the gosh-damn Mother of Dragons. But Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke and Rose Leslie were robbed by monkeys on vacation — and, by their own account, they “hardly put up a fight.” It would seem the women left a bit of their taste for battle back in the Seven Kingdoms. But hey, in this case, we can’t say we blame them.
Clarke took to Instagram on Friday to share the former co-stars’ wild new experience with a lengthy caption and multitude of pics. “NAMASKAR India,” the Mother of Dragons wrote, starting with a customary Hindu greeting. “NAMASKAR #anandaspahimalayas this is NOT an ad, this is just two gals buzzed off our faces on India, peace, being robbed blind by monkeys (we hardly put up a fight), the best two books I’ve read in years (#theoverstory should be mandatory reading the world over), yoga, spice, mamma earth and figuring out that all you’re ever looking for can be found within. Corny as hell but my god is it true.”

In the post’s photos, Clarke even divulged a snapshot of the pillaging primates caught in the act, looting Clarke and Leslie’s room for fruit. If all of that doesn’t give you major FOMO, we don’t know what will.
The girls’ getaway is well-deserved. Both women recently had to say goodbye to the long-running Game of Thrones — Clarke as a series regular nearly until the end, and Leslie as a one-time star turned wife and ardent supporter of husband Kit Harington (aka Jon Snow). Plus, Clarke recently wrapped the holiday movie Last Christmas and Leslie has been hard at work on CBS’ The Good Fight.
Leslie may also have just needed a good girls’ trip. In late May, news broke that Harington had secretly checked into luxury rehab for stress and alcohol use ahead of GoT‘s ending. At the time, Page Six reported that Leslie had been “extremely supportive” throughout the ordeal. Happily, Harington seems to be doing much better. But the household has recently come under siege with headlines of another kind: Harington’s first major post-GoT role as the Black Knight in Disney’s The Eternals.
Whatever the reason for this GoT girls’ getaway, we heartily approve… and not-so-secretly hope Clarke and Leslie share more adventures in the near future.
