The crash occurred Wednesday evening just before midnight in Shandon, CA.

The passenger bus, which was transporting Turner's crew, veered off the road and into a ditch.

Officials later confirmed there were 8 total patients at the scene, including 5 with moderate injuries, 2 with major injuries and 1 deceased.

They also explained that Josh Turner and his band, "were in different buses and not injured."

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation, and the officials expected to remain at the scene into early Thursday morning as they continued gathering evidence and cleaning up.

Turner has not yet commented on the crash, but he and the band had performed Wednesday night in Paso Robles, Calif., which is only about a 20 minute drive from the site of the accident.
