Goshen's first light parade shines bright

Nov. 3—GOSHEN — This month, Goshen First Friday's was truly a first.

The first ever Parade of Lights got underway shortly after 6:30 p.m., with the Goshen Police and Fire Departments along with many businesses and community organizations represented.

"It's exciting," said Robert Tombari, program director of the Goshen Theater, who along with GT Board member Sandy Santiago served as masters of ceremony for the event. "It's amazing to be the emcees for the inaugural light parade for Goshen."

Beginning on Fifth Street and heading around to turn north on Main Street, spectators lined the streets to take part. Local businesses that participated included Fables Books, Phoenix Performing Arts, Soapy Gnome, Cressy and Everett, JoJo's Pretzels, Goshen Historical Society, I M SHE, ADEC, Venturi, and Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn.
