Gordon Ramsay’s Face Gets Flambéed on ‘MasterChef’

Gordon Ramsay gave a master class in preparing lobster on this week’s MasterChef. After teaching the home cooks how to properly de-shell the lobster, Chef Ramsay showed them how to make his famous lobster tortellini. As he went through the recipe step by step, the home cooks carefully watched him quickly go through the preparation of the dish, which included flambéing the shell to make the seafood broth.

Gordon was going around checking out everyone’s progress when he stopped at Lisa-Ann’s station, which he would soon regret. While Gordon was yelling at her for not making her pasta yet, Lisa-Ann poured the alcohol in the pan to flambé the lobster shell and almost flambéed Chef Ramsay’s face. Gordon jumped back as he grabbed his face, making sure that he had not been badly burned. Chef Ramsay was fine, but he had to ask if he still had eyebrows left.

MasterChef airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Fox.
