Gordon Ramsay ‘Met His Match’ in Lisa Vanderpump on Food Stars Season 2

It’s a literal clash of titans with Lisa Vanderpump and Gordon Ramsay coming together in Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars, and it’s anyone’s guess who will come out on top.

Fans of both reality TV stars know that these two have very strong personalities. Also, they’re both quite famous for their “take no prisoners” attitude in everything they do. So what will it be like when they’re thrown together?

Basically, it’s anyone’s guess. One thing’s for sure: it’s going to be exciting! And consequently, probably very loud, too.

Will Gordon follow Vanderpump’s Rules?

The duo caught up with Extra during the FOX upfront presentation in New York City, and they discussed what it was like filming Food Stars.

The famous chef was upfront about Lisa being a “tough cookie” and added that she curses quite a bit, which probably threw him for a loop, considering he’s usually the one dropping curse words in every sentence.

Lisa teased that Gordon had “met his match” in her and that viewers would see a very different side of the famous reality TV show chef on the show. It’s bound to be refreshing to see him butt heads with someone who possesses as fiery a personality as him.

Historically, Gordon is known for being the loudest and biggest personality in the room. In all his reality television shows, most people cower and back down in the face of the loud and boisterous personality.

But anyone who knows Lisa knows that she isn’t going to be one of them. On the contrary, she’s a force all on her own, too, and is used to people backing down when faced with her. When discussing her relationship with Gordon on the show, she joked, “He just needs to stick to ‘Vanderpump Rules.’ That’s all he needed to do. It was that simple.”

An aspirational show

We’ll have to wait and see if Gordon follows the rules. Speaking of rules, while Food Stars may be a competitive show, Lisa added that it’s also exceptionally aspirational. Additionally, LVP enjoyed seeing all the young people on the show learn, develop, and grow.

“There’s an emotional dynamic,” Lisa explained. “We had a lot of fun. It’s full of surprises as well.”

Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars premieres on FOX on May 22.
