Earlier this month, a Reddit user uploaded a video on the platform that showed a gopher pushing a ball out of a hole on a golf course.

At the start of the clip, the golfer — who goes by the username Coffee_Is_Dope — can be seen crouching down to record the hole with a camera, as the white golf ball slowly moves up from within.

Seconds later, the underground creature positions itself into the camera's frame, pushing the ball out of the hole.

In a caption, the golfer described the moment as "real-life Caddyshack," referring to the film starring Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, Ted Knight, Michael O'Keefe and Bill Murray.

In the comments section, many social media users reacted to the video and expressed their thoughts on the gopher spotting.

"He tried to give it back, man," one user wrote, as another said, "That is hilarious!"

Another, meanwhile, poked fun at the gopher's crooked teeth, writing, "The rare British mole."

One other user questioned: "Do you have any idea what a gopher can do to a golf course?!?!"

The 1980s comedy film Caddyshack follows the antics of goofy characters at the Bushwood Country Club.

A subplot of the fan-favorite movie revolves around a caretaker's battle to rid the course of an elusive gopher.
