NewsNation and The CW on Wednesday night hosted the fourth Republican primary debate, held in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Did one of Trump’s competitors for the GOP ticket make a case for the nomination on stage at the University of Alabama?

The two-hour melee — moderated by Sirius XM host Megyn Kelly (‘member her?), Free Beacon journalist Eliana Johnson and NewsNation anchor Elizabeth Vargas — featured four candidates: Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy. (Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who is currently polling at 0.5%, has not qualified to appear on stage since the first debate on Aug. 23.)

Following the previous debate on Nov. 8, both South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum have exited the race, joining fellow dropout (and former vice president) Mike Pence, who suspended his campaign on Oct. 28.

The third GOP debate of the 2024 election cycle reached 7.5 million viewers on NBC. Moderators Lester Holt, Kristen Welker and Hugh Hewitt earned an average TVLine reader grade of “C+,” while 60% of those who participated in our poll said Haley won the debate.

Based on what you saw and heard Wednesday night, which candidate do you think won Debate No. 4? And how did Vargas, Kelly and Johnson fare as moderators? Vote in our polls, then drop a comment below.
