Good Taste: Tell us your favorite place for a cheeseburger in paradise, aka SW FL

Every few weeks, we'll ask readers to share their favorite place for a food item in Southwest Florida. This new feature, Good Taste, lets you tell us where you enjoy food in town.

Thanks to all who responded to our first Good Taste, sharing your favorite places to enjoy pizza in Southwest Florida.

This week we're serving up another foodie favorite: Where is your favorite restaurant to enjoy a cheeseburger in paradise, Southwest Florida. We are the Paradise Coast, after all.

Your responses will appear online next Monday, Sept. 18, which is also National Cheeseburger Day.

And it's also fitting to discuss cheeseburgers because we lost Jimmy Buffett earlier this month. "Cheeseburger In Paradise" remains perhaps his second most popular hit after, well, you know what his No. 1 song is about.

A few other references to cheeseburgers in music:

  • Steve Miller in his 1968 "Living in the U.S.A." sings at the end of the song: "Somebody give me a cheeseburger!"

  • Jimmy Buffett again, in "The 12 Days of Christmas (Parrothead Version). Instead of five golden rings, his true love gave to him "Five cheeeseburrgeeeeeers!"
