UPDATE: The Guns N' Roses concert at Chase Field on Wednesday, Oct. 11, has been canceled so the Arizona Diamondbacks can host Game 3 of the best-of-five National League Division Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Guns N' Roses are still playing Phoenix that night. They've just moved it down the road to Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre. New tickets must be purchased for new venue.

The Arizona Diamondbacks advancing in the playoffs could mean a postponed concert for Guns N' Roses fans, as the Chase Field concert now scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 11 would conflict with the ball game.

Diamondbacks prevailed in the best-of-three National League Wild Card Series against the Milwaukee Brewers, so they advance to a best-of-five Division Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Game 3 of that series will be played at Chase Field on Wednesday, Oct. 11, the same night as the Guns N' Roses concert.

Diamondbacks CEO and president Derrick Hall discussed the situation as a guest on KTAR News 92.3 FM’s The Mike Broomhead Show Monday, a day after the regular season ended.

"That's a good problem to have," Hall said with regard to the prospect of having to bump the Guns N' Roses date. "And I hope we can do just that."

Hall added, “I’d rather play their music in the car on the way back to the stadium.”

On the morning of Thursday, Oct. 5, a day after the Diamondbacks won the Wild Card series, Hall was back on KTAR News with Broomhead, where he confirmed that Guns N' Roses had been postponed.

Could the P!NK concert at Chase Field be postponed?

Hall also indicated Thursday morning that the P!NK concert Monday, Oct. 9, at Chase Field would have to be rescheduled.

But a Diamondbacks representative clarified later Thursday morning to ABC15 that the P!NK concert is still expected take place on Monday.

Game 2 of the series will be played that day at Dodgers Stadium.

The Guns N' Roses concert is part of a world tour announced in February

The Guns N' Roses concert was announced in February as part of a massive 2023 world tour.

Produced by Live Nation, the tour opened on June 5 in Tel Aviv and continued across Europe through July 22 in Athens, Greece, before making its way to North America in August.

Other shows have taken place at iconic ballparks Fenway Park in Boston (Aug. 21) and Wrigley Field in Chicago (Aug. 24).

Regardless of what day it happens, this concert will be Gun N' Roses' first time in the Valley since a Footprint Center performance on Aug. 30, 2021.

Their previous Not in This Lifetime… Tour, which played what was then called University of Phoenix Stadium in 2016, is on the shortlist of the highest-grossing tours of all time.

Axl Rose and Slash are joined by longtime members Duff McKagan and Dizzy Reed as well as Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer and Melissa Reese.
