A UK adaptation of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, based on the YA mystery novels by Holly Jackson, has found a Stateside home.
Starring Wednesday‘s Emma Myers and originally commissioned to debut in the UK and Ireland on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder now will also stream in the U.S., on Netflix, later this year.

The premise for the six-episode season: “Five years ago, schoolgirl Andie Bell was murdered by her boyfriend Sal Singh,” who in turn ended his own life. “Case closed. The police know he did it. Everyone in town knows he did it. But smart and single-minded Pip Fitz-Amobi (played by Myers) isn’t so sure and she’s determined to prove it. If Sal Singh isn’t a murderer and the real killer is still out there, how far will they go to keep Pip from the truth?”
Playing Pip’s circle of friends are Asha Banks (Rebel Cheer Squad) as Cara, Yali Topol Margolith (The Tattooist of Auschwitz) as Lauren, Raiko Gohara (Get Lost) as Zach, Jude Morgan-Collie (Here We Go) as Connor and newcomer Zain Iqbal as Ravi, while Anna Maxwell Martin (Motherland) will play Pip’s mum Leanne.
“I’m thrilled about this show, and getting to be Pip has been a dream,” Myers told Tudum. “Whether you’ve read the book or not, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is an experience all around. I think people are really going to like it.”
The series’ cast also includes Gary Beadle (The Wheel of Time), Mathew Baynton (of the UK’s Ghosts), India Lillie Davies (Call the Midwife), Rahul Pattni (Casualty), Henry Ashton (Outlander), Mitu Panicucci, Orla Hill (Hetty Feather), Ephraim O.P. Sampson, Carla Woodcock (Tell Me Everything), Yasmin Al-Khudhairi (Ackley Bridge), Jessica Webber, Matthew Khan, Georgia Aaron, Oliver Wickham (Wednesday), Adam Astill (Outlander) and Annabel Mullion (The Pursuit of Love).
