‘Good Burger 2’: Paramount+ Sets Release Date For Kenan Thompson & Kel Mitchell-Led Sequel

Paramount+ has set a Thanksgiving week release for Good Burger 2, the comedy sequel starring Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. Good Burger 2 will premiere Wednesday, November 22, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S and Canada, on Thursday, November 23, 2023 on Paramount+ in the UK and Australia. The film will also be available in additional Paramount+ international markets shortly after.

The streamer also released the key art featuring Thompson and Mitchell, with the tagline “The classic combo is back”, which you can see below.

Thompson and Mitchell return for the sequel movie reprising their roles they originated in the Nickelodeon sketch show All That.

The sequel follows Dexter Reed (Thompson) and original cashier, Ed (Mitchell), as they reunite in the present day at the fast-food restaurant Good Burger with a new group of employees.

In Good Burger 2, Dexter Reed is down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails. Ed welcomes Dex back to Good Burger with open arms and gives him his old job back. With a new crew working at Good Burger, Dex devises a plan to get back on his feet but unfortunately puts the fate of Good Burger at risk once again.

In addition to Thompson and Mitchell, Good Burger 2 stars Lil Rel Howery (Get Out) as Cecil McNevin, Jillian Bell (Murder Mystery 2) as Katt Boswell, Kamaia Fairburn (Blockbuster) as Mia, Alex R. Hibbert (The Chi) as Ed2, Fabrizio Guido (Perry Mason) as Mr. Jensen, Elizabeth Hinkler (The Good Doctor) and Emily Hinkler (The Good Doctor) as Cindy and Mindy and Anabel Graetz (Free Guy) as Ruth. The film also features celebrity cameos as well as original series cast members who are reprising their roles: Josh Server as Fizz, Lori Beth Denberg as Connie Muldoon and Carmen Electra as Roxanne.

Produced by Thompson and Mitchell, Good Burger 2 is written by All That & Good Burger writers Kevin Kopelow & Heath Seifert, who also serve as executive producers, and directed and executive produced by Phil Traill (The Middle, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Single Drunk Female). James III (Tyler Perry’s Young DylanAll That) also serves as a writer.
