Golfer Tony Finau and Wife Alayna Finau’s Relationship Timeline: Marriage, Children and More

A perfect match! Tony Finau's wife, Alayna Finau, has been there to cheer him on throughout his professional golf career.

The Utah native and Alayna exchanged vows in 2012 and later welcomed five children: Jraice, Leilene "Neenee" Aiaga, Tony, Sage and Sienna-Vee. Before their youngest child's arrival in 2021, Tony hinted at his desire to keep expanding his big brood.

"We'll probably do five or six [kids]," he told The Charlotte Observer. "We come from big families. I think Polynesians in general, but also [in] the Mormon community, [Latter Day Saints], we like big families. I have five brothers and three sisters. [My wife] has three sisters and a brother."

The twosome have not publicly outlined the story of how they met, but they've bonded over their faith throughout their romance. "I hear people say things like, 'Oh, wow, I wouldn't think that you're a member [of the church] or Mormon, or anything like that.' Some people hear different things about Mormons and what we do, what we believe," Tony said in a 2017 interview. "So, I think it's a compliment to me."

The PGA Tour champ noted that his religious background even factors into his golf training. "I want to try and have as long a career as possible. That's only going to happen if I take care of my body now," he explained, adding that he doesn't "get to attend church" often during the season. "My church teaches me the same thing with the Word of Wisdom, that you have to be healthy, you have to take care of yourself and take care of your body."

Alayna and the Tony Finau Foundation founder celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary in May 2022. Later that year, the Puerto Rico Open winner shared some words of wisdom to new fathers.

"The best parenting advice I have is just take care of your wife, that's it," he told reporters in November 2022 after playing in the Presidents Cup. "The wife is the one that runs the home, and women run the world. My mom and my wife are two of the strongest people that I know, probably the two strongest people that I know. The best advice I have for any husband is take care of your wife."

When away from family for work, Tony makes sure to keep a piece of home with him by writing his loved ones' initials on his golf balls. "I start with one [kid] and see how they perform," he explained in a July 2022 interview. "I'm pretty lenient, I'll give them some time, but right out of the gate, if it's lip-out and lip-out in a couple holes, it's the next [kid] up. The good thing is I have five kids, so usually one of them is working, at least."
