The NBA has postponed Wednesday night’s Golden State Warriors-Utah Jazz game in the wake of the hospitalization of Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojević.
Milojević, 46, suffered a “medical emergency” while at the team’s dinner on Tuesday night in Salt Lake City, the Warriors said in a statement on X.
The league announced Wednesday morning that it would postpone the game due to the issue affecting the “Warriors family,” and it would announce a new date for the game at a later time.
Warriors staff members stayed at the hospital until late Tuesday night and were scheduled to return to the facility Wednesday morning, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported.
According to multiple European outlets, Milojević reportedly suffered a cardiac-related event.
A native of Serbia, Milojević coached two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic in his formative years, the Associated Press reported.

Before joining Warriors head coach Steve Kerr’s staff in 2021, he played basketball for 14 years in Europe and was an assistant for the Serbian national team, per the AP.
The Warriors said in the statement that an update on the coach’s status “will be provided as appropriate.”
