Universal’s The Fabelmans took Best Motion Picture Drama and Searchlight’s The Banshees of Inisherin won for Musical or Comedy at the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards, which were handed out tonight at the Beverly Hilton. See the full list of winners and wins by film, program, distributor and network below.

Steven Spielberg earlier won Best Director for The Fabelmans — his third career Globe among 20 nominations — and Banshees of Inisherin‘s writer-helmer Martin McDonagh took Best Screenplay to go with Colin Farrell’s Best Actor win, giving that film a leading three trophies on the night.

The dream awards seasons for Farrell, Cate Blanchett and Michelle Yeoh continued tonight with respective Best Actor and Actress in a Drama and Best Actress in Musical/Comedy Film wins. The latter two won for Focus Features’ Tár and A24’s Everything Everywhere All at Once, rspectively.

Austin Butler was in the building to win Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for playing The King in Warner Bros’ Elvis.

Ke Huy Quan won the night’s first award, continuing his trophy run for Everything Everywhere All at Once. Angela Bassett then followed for her supporting role in Disney/Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio from Netflix took the Globe for Animated Feature, and Prime Video’s Argentina, 1985 from Argentina went home with the Non-English-Language award. It’s been quite a brag-worthy month for the South American country, which won the World Cup on December 18.

Best Song went to “Naatu Naatu” from Variant Films’ Indian blockbuster RRR, while Justin Hurwitz took Best Score for Paramount’s Babylon.

The two top-grossing films of 2022 — Disney’s Avatar: The Way of Water and Paramount’s Top Gun: Maverick — both were up for the marquee Best Picture Drama prize but went home empty-handed. Among big awards-season pics,

On the TV side, HBO Max’s House of the Dragon and ABC’s Abbott Elementary won Best Drama and Comedy, respectively, making the latter the only program to win three times tonight. Quinta Brunson took the Best Actress Globe, and her co-star Tyler James Williams picked up the Supporting Actor statuette.

Zendaya took Best Actress in a TV Drama for HBO’s Euphoria, following up her Emmy win in September, Jeremy Allen White won Best Actor in a TV Musical/Comedy for FX’s The Bear.

HBO Max’s The White Lotus won for Best Limited Series/Anthology/TV Movie, and Amanda Seyfried and Evan Peters took the respective lead acting trophies for Hulu’s The Dropout and Netflix’s Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. Jennifer Coolidge followed up her Emmy with a Supporting Actress win for The White Lotus, and Paul Walter Houser nabbed Supporting Actor for Apple TV+’s Black Bird.

Julia Garner won Supporting Actress in a TV Drama for Netflix’s now-wrapped Ozark.

The combined HBO/HBO Max led the way among networks — and distributors, for that matter — with four wins tonight, with the streamer scoring three of them. Searchlight and Netflix were the only other triple winners, with the latter scooping two TV statuettes and one for film.

Universal also won twice for Fabelmans, and The White Lotus was the evening’s only other multiple winner on the TV side.

Ryan Murphy accepted the HFPA’s Carol Burnett Award tonight, and Eddie Murphy receives its Cecil B. Demille Award
