Everyone’s excited to play pickleball this week on The Golden Bachelor, but Gerry also finds himself having to play referee in a growing rift between two of his remaining women.

It’s a new day, and Trista drops by the mansion to reassure the ladies that the Bachelor process can work — it’s rare, but it does happen — and invite them on a group pickleball date. They all get an invite except for Leslie, which means she’s getting a one-on-one date. Plus, Theresa spills all the details of her connection with Gerry to Trista, which leads Kathy to roll her eyes: “She just can’t seem to find the off button.”

They head to the pickleball court, and Ellen is raring to go: She’s a pickleball captain! Tennis pro and newly minted Bachelor Joey stops by to give them some pointers, but April ends up taking a nasty spill. She says her ankle is broken, and Gerry stops to comfort her, but she later tells us: “Actually, I am totally fine.” You little minx! They split up into teams of two for a tournament, with the winners getting a photo shoot with Gerry in something called In Pickleball magazine. (Prestigious!) Ellen and Kathy come out on top, and both get a smooch from Gerry as a bonus. Gerry is taken aback, though, when he learns that Sandra is missing her daughter’s wedding today (!) to be here. He and Sandra talk it out, and they end up FaceTime-ing Sandra’s daughter to say hi… once they figure out how FaceTime works.

Theresa wants to bury the hatchet with Kathy, so she pulls her aside, and Kathy explains how Theresa sharing everything about her bond with Gerry makes Kathy anxious. Theresa insists she didn’t mean anything malicious by it, but Kathy has two simple words for her: “Zip it.” Of course, Theresa does just the opposite and blabs to Gerry what Kathy just said to her. Gerry is concerned about the friction and sits down with Kathy, who tells him it’s hurtful when Theresa goes on and on about him. He asks her directly about telling Theresa to “zip it,” though, and says there’s “a rift here that I’m really not happy about.” Kathy insists she’s not the villain here, but now she’s upset that Theresa the blabbermouth blabbed again. After all that, Gerry gives the group date rose to Sandra — which is the least he can do, since she missed her daughter’s wedding for this.

It’s time for Gerry’s one-on-one date with Leslie, and they spend it riding ATVs through the mountains together. At first, Leslie is nervous about the speed, but Gerry gallantly lets her go first and follows behind, soothing her fears. When they cuddle afterwards, Leslie says she’s been divorced twice (“I don’t have the best picker”) and single for 22 years now, but she seems something in Gerry that she thinks could last. He sees her as a true contender, too, telling her: “I love the way you look at me.” They slip into a hot tub together before he hands her a rose. Meanwhile, a game of Never Have I Ever using pints of ice cream makes Sandra ill, since she’s lactose intolerant, so she’s out of commission for the upcoming rose ceremony. At least she already got her rose.

At the cocktail party, Gerry gives Susan a rose quartz and tells her she reminds him of his late wife Toni (!), and he and Ellen share a tender moment where she confesses she’s falling in love with him and he gets emotional thinking this is the first time he’s heard things like that since Toni passed away. Nancy, though, senses that Gerry has a stronger connection with others, so she gracefully bows out early. At the rose ceremony, Gerry hands roses to Ellen, Faith and Susan, with the final rose coming down to rivals Theresa and Kathy. Gerry hands it to Theresa, sending Kathy and April home. He walks Kathy out, and they wish each other all the best, but Kathy still can’t believe she got rejected: “Look at this! Who can say no to this?”

Just six women remain in the race for Gerry’s heart — who’s the best bet to receive his final rose? Vote in our poll, and hit the comments to share your thoughts.
