Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner Breaks Out Something Blue as Wife Theresa Wears Coordinating Pastels Post-Wedding

The newlyweds wore colorful coordinating outfits following their televised wedding extravaganza — see their looks!

Now that Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist are husband and wife they are already coordinating their wardrobes.

After the couple’s wedding event on Thursday night — which was broadcast live on ABC — the duo was spotted playing off each other's outfits in complementing pastel ensembles.

The Golden Bachelor, 72, wore a baby blue sport coat on top of a bright yellow button-down, a pair of straight-fitted jeans and light gray slip-on loafers.

Nist, 70, wore a corresponding pastel ensemble, with a pair of distressed light pink jeans and a light pink, blue, and yellow floral blouse — subtly matching Turner’s look. She accessorized the look with a cropped black fur coat and white leather booties.

During the couple’s celebration, Turner wore a sleek black tuxedo but shared with PEOPLE he initially thought about wearing a blue suit for the wedding. "We talked one night, and we came to the conclusion that a black tux would look a little more formal.”

Meanwhile, Nist impressed in a romantic Badgley Mischka wedding gown. The gown featured a strapless plunging neckline and fitted bodice with a mermaid silhouette. It also had a voluminous tulle train for added drama as she walked down the aisle. The bride topped her look with a matching veil and vintage Neil Lane jewelry.

Nist shared with PEOPLE, that she was presented with “incredibly gorgeous gowns” from the fashion house. She explained that her daughter, daughter-in-law and fellow Golden Bachelor contestants Susan Noles, 66, and Kathy Swarts, 70, helped her find the dress.

“I asked each one of these beautiful women to go pick their favorite. And then I picked three of mine, and I walked down the stairs with them,” explained Nist. "And when it was the dress, they unanimously thought this was the good gown. I think Susan was so proud because that's the one I picked out!”

Along with the bride’s Badgley Mischka ceremony gown, she switched into a chic reception dress. The sleek bandage-style silhouette included a sheer skirt, that she paired with a cropped feather jacket.

Before the newlyweds exchanged their vows, Nist arranged for a boudoir photo shoot during her bachelorette party. Jana Williams photographed Nist in Cosabella lingerie alongside fellow Golden Bachelor contestants Susan Noles, Faith Martin, Sandra Mason and Ellen Goltzer.

Nist posed in a sexy white lace number after telling her friends that she wanted to do the boudoir shoot. The TV personality explained she felt so empowered stepping out of the limo on day one of her Golden Bachelor journey that she felt like this was the logical next step in that empowering journey — and she wanted them to be a part of it.

The couple's lavish wedding ceremony took place in Palm Springs, California, in front of friends and family and several members of Bachelor Nation — including Wells Adams, Ben Higgins, Jason and Molly Mesnick, Desiree and Chris Siegfried, and Trista and Ryan Sutter.

This is the second wedding for both Nist and Turner. Nist first married William “Billy” Nist when she was 18 before he was drafted into the Vietnam War. They were married for more than 42 years before he died in 2014.

Turner was married to his wife, Toni Turner, for more than 40 years as well, before she died in 2017.
