“The Golden Bachelor” finale has soared to a new viewership high in delayed multiplatform viewing, TheWrap can reveal exclusively.

The conclusion of the first “Golden” iteration of “The Bachelor” franchise — in which 72-year-old Gerry Turner searched for love — scored 9.42 million viewers across platforms, according to Nielsen live-plus-seven-day figures. On ABC alone, seven-day viewership for the finale jumped to 7.13 million — up 17.1% from the 6.09 million total viewers the finale drew in, per Nielsen live-plus-same-day data.

Both the live-plus-seven-day ABC and multiplatform viewership mark the largest audience any “Bachelor” franchise series has seen since the March 2020 finale of Peter Weber’s season of “The Bachelor,” according to both viewing metrics.

After initially drawing in a 0.80 live-plus-same day rating in the key broadcast demo among adults 18-49, the “The Golden Bachelor” finale grew to a 0.98 rating in seven-day viewing on ABC, marking the highest-rated “Bachelor” series telecast since the September 2022 finale of Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey’s season of “The Bachelorette.”

Additionally, ratings for the finale grew over 159% from its initial live-plus-same day rating as the multiplatform seven-day figures hit a 2.07 rating.

With the delayed total viewing figures, “The Golden Bachelor” audience increased 11% when compared to the previous week’s telecast, which brought in 6.44 million total viewers. The ABC reality dating series has now delivered its sixth consecutive week of growth, with the boost from the finale marking the show’s biggest week-to-week increase.

Viewing for “The Golden Bachelor” finale has continued on a steep incline as it drew in 6.95 million viewers and a 0.95 rating after three days of viewing on ABC, and scored 8.81 million total viewers and a 1.84 rating in the demo in three-day multiplatform viewing.

The finale, which first premiered Nov. 30 on ABC, saw leading man Gerry Turner choose between frontrunners Theresa Nist and Leslie Fhima, leading to his eventual engagement to Nist.

At the “After the Final Rose” section of the episode, the couple announced they would tie the knot during a live wedding special set to premiere on Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
