At 10 ballparks around metro Phoenix, Arizona Cactus League spring training is underway, giving baseball fans a sneak preview of the upcoming MLB season as well as an opportunity to soak up the sunshine and thaw out from a long offseason.
Phoenix-area restaurants and bars are also getting into the spirit with deals and specials in honor of the five-week season. Some are exclusive to game attendees and require proof of game attendance, while others are open to all. A free trolley to Sloan Park for all Cubs home games departs every 30 minutes from Thirsty Lion at the Tempe Marketplace, with free parking in the lot.
