Michael Strahan has a lot to be grateful for, and he marked a special occasion by sharing a look into how things are going with his family.

The Good Morning America star is busy juggling hosting the ABC morning show and being with daughter Isabella as she undergoes treatment for medulloblastoma, a rare brain cancer. While he's often quiet about personal matters, he gave a rare family update when celebrating Mother's Day on May 12. As he posted an Instagram photo with Isabella, her twin sister Sophia and his mother Louise, he expressed gratitude for Louise while revealing the quartet recently shared some quality bonding time.

"Happy that we had the chance to spend Mother's Day with my mom!" he captioned the sweet image. "Happy Mother’s Day to my mom and all the other moms out there! ❤️."

When fans noticed the former NFL player's unexpected update on Isabella amid her health journey, there were many emotional words sent his way about how thrilled they were to see her.

"So beautiful, I'm glad to see your beautiful daughter smiling ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏," one person wrote. "So happy Izzy is home and you all were with your Mom, Michael. ❤️," another noted. "I’m so glad to see that your daughter is home from the hospital. What a special Mother’s Day for your mother. ❤️," a different follower added.

As folks may remember, the TV personality and Isabella sat down with GMA in mid-January to publicly announce Isabella's health diagnosis. At the time, Isabella shared how she planned to undergo chemotherapy, which she's currently doing and often shares vlogs on her YouTube channel updating viewers about her journey. Michael also spoke out at the time, emotionally sharing how lucky he is to have a daughter like her.

"I literally think that, in a lot of ways, I'm the luckiest man in the world, because I've got an amazing daughter," he said. "I know she's going through it, but I know that we're never given more than we can handle and that she is going to crush this."
