Mexican: Gloria Trevi is regarded as the "Madonna of Mexico." The singer, songwriter, dancer, actress and businesswoman has enjoyed a successful career but endured a four-year prison sentence in Mexico and Brazil on suspicion of human trafficking. The charges were later dropped and when Trevi reemerged in 2004, she released her sixth album "Cómo Nace el Universo," which sold over 100,000 copies in the U.S. and began a wave of international success.

In 1991, she made her acting debut in the Mexican film "Pelo Suelto," has appeared on Mexican TV shows such as "Drag Race España" and Mexican soap operas.

Trevi will perform on Friday at Acrisure Arena.

Broadway: When writer Steve Young was assigned to find rare comedy vinyl records for the “Late Show with David Letterman," he discovered industrial musicals in the process and has been obsessed ever since — an obsession that became the subject of the 2018 documentary “Bathtubs Over Broadway.” Young co-produced a celebration of this music with the McCallum Theatre. Some of the featured songs are "Bathrooms Are Coming!" and "Diesel Dazzle."

"Bathtubs Over Broadway," a one-night musical extravaganza, will be staged on Thursday at the McCallum Theatre.

Mexican: The Mexican band Bronco is renowned in Mexico and the U.S. for songs such as “Pilar de Cantina” and “Maldito Corazón," and an innovative take on regional Mexican music with electric instruments. When Bronco disbanded in 1997 after a farewell tour, the band returned in 2003 during a legal dispute in Mexico over the name and performed in Mexico as "El Gigante de America" and Bronco in the U.S. until 2017. Even though the lineup has changed many times over the past four decades, José Guadalupe Esparza has kept the band going.

Bronco will perform at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa in Rancho Mirage.

R&B: Get ready to "Shake That" because the R&B band 112 will perform on Friday at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa. The band racked up many hits during the late 1990s and early 2000s and appeared in Faith Evans and Sean 'Diddy' Combs' 1997 tribute song to Notorious B.I.G., "I'll Be Missing You." Some of 112's hits include "Only You," "Peaches & Cream" and "U Already Know."

Folk-rock: In 2023, Canadian folk-rock band The Rural Alberta Advantage released its first album in six years, "The Rise & The Fall." It also featured the return of original member Amy Cole. During the pandemic, the band wrote songs over Zoom, held socially distanced rehearsals in warehouses and previewed new music during small tours in 2022.

The Rural Alberta Advantage will perform on Saturday at Pappy and Harriet's.
