Glen Powell isn’t afraid to clap back at his haters — even his mom!

After E! News published a story about how the Anyone But You star’s mother, Cyndy Powell, keeps him humble, the actor took to X (formerly Twitter) to humble her right back.

On Saturday, Powell, 35, shared the article, titled “Why Glen Powell’s Mom Described Him as a ‘Little Douchey,’” and joked, “Anyone have good nursing home recommendations?”

“I feel like it’s time,” he added.

It’s just jokes to the Top Gun: Maverick star, however, as he and his mom have a very close relationship — not to mention that the “little douchey” quote actually comes from Powell himself.

At the Sundance premiere of his new film Hit Man, the actor spoke with E! News about both Cyndy and his dad, Glen Powell Sr., who walked the festival red carpet with him.

Reflecting on his growing fame, Powell said that his parents “do keep me humble,” adding that “it's very funny to be on this journey with them.”

"Obviously sometimes you don't realize the changes that are happening, but often your mother is the first person to realize that the temperature has changed a little,” he added.

When asked what his mom calls him out on most, Powell said “it's probably my outfits” — and more specifically, his popped collars.

“She keeps trying to take down my collar. She's like, 'Glen, you know, could look a little douchey,'" he told the outlet. "And I'm like, 'Well, Hollywood is sort of douchey sometimes. That's what we're doing here.'"

But at the end of the day, fame or no fame, Powell’s family is very important to him. They keep him grounded.

In fact, he cites his family as the thing that keeps him “the most sane.”

“With anything that changes, I know that they're going to be there and they're the consistency in my life," he told E! News. "They're enjoying the ride as much as I am — they'd never miss a premiere. They never miss an opportunity to celebrate me, and I'm really grateful for that.”

Last November, Powell painted his parents in a less silly light on social media with a post celebrating a special milestone in their marriage.

“Quick trip to the foot of the Jefferson Memorial…where 40 years ago my dad proposed to my mom," he captioned a collection of family photos. “Happy Anniversary, you two."

"Lucky to have your love in my life every day," he added.
