The 2024 WM Phoenix Open was a muddy mess. For the first time since 2011, the Phoenix Open Annexus Pro-Am at TPC Scottsdale, which traditionally takes place on Wednesdays, was canceled on Feb. 6 at 1 p.m.

The cancellation came after a steady rain initially suspended play at 11:53 a.m.

This didn’t stop celebrities from coming out to metro Phoenix. About 26 groups participating in the pro-am had already started play at 8:30 a.m., with the final group beginning at 10:30 a.m. All amateurs were still on the course when play was suspended, and some pros had already finished their rounds.

From Glen Powell and Michael Phelps to Nick Saban and Emmitt Smith, here are all the celebrities (you care about) who have made appearances at the WM Phoenix Open tournament and continue to show up.

Glen Powell

And the rom-com and action film star did show, as documented by TikTok videos shared by fans.

The MLB MVP played 22 seasons in Major League Baseball for the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers and New York Yankees. He was a former professional baseball shortstop and third baseman with a batting average of .295. He amassed over 600 home runs, over 2,000 runs batted in, over 2,000 runs scored, over 3,000 hits and over 300 stolen bases. He is the only player in MLB history to achieve all those numbers.

Rodriguez is also a businessman and philanthropist; he is the chairman and CEO of A-Rod Corp and the chairman of Presidente Beer. He is part owner of the National Basketball Association’s Minnesota Timberwolves.
