From Glee to under the sea! Glee alum Amber Riley is set to join the cast for ABC’s upcoming live stage production of Little Mermaid Live, as Variety reports. Riley is slated to appear as the show’s emcee, presenting the Daughters of Triton with a performance for King Triton and his subjects.

Riley will be joining an A-list slate of other cast members already announced, including Auli’i Cravalho starring as Ariel; Queen Latifah as the villain Ursula; Shaggy as the Caribbean crab Sebastian; John Stamos as Chef Louis; and Graham Phillips as Prince Eric.

Riley has appeared alongside Queen Latifah before, in NBC’s live staging of The Wiz — so it’s a familiar format and cast mate for her. Riley has also been in A Black Lady Sketch Show, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and One Christmas Wish, a made-for-TV movie. Of course, let’s not forget she also won Season 17 of Dancing With the Stars back in 2013.

Fans have long loved and admired Riley for her honesty and openness when it comes to body acceptance. She’s all about embracing her curves, and she’s definitely not here for haters who have something to say about the skin she’s in.

In a social media video that went viral, Riley once famously clapped back: “When you come on here and call me fat, it’s not an insult, dummy.” She also regularly flaunts her figure in bold fashions — including rocking an ornate, off-the-shoulder, body-skimming dress to sing for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Charles.

We love her, and we can’t wait to see her turn on Little Mermaid Live, which will air on November 5 on ABC.
