Glastonbury 2021 Canceled

Glastonbury has been canceled for the second year running due to COVID-19. The “enforced fallow year” of the music and arts festival, originally set for June 23-27, marks the first time that its modern incarnation will skip consecutive years. “In spite of our efforts to move Heaven & Earth, it has become clear that we simply will not be able to make the festival happen,” organizers Emily and Michael Eavis wrotee in a statement. “We thank you for your incredible support and let’s look forward to better times ahead.”

As with last year’s cancellation, ticket-holders can roll over their £50 deposit, guaranteeing a chance to secure tickets for the 2022 festival. In 2020, Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, and Paul McCartney were set to headline the festival. No lineup for next year’s festival—should it go ahead—has yet been confirmed. The 2019 edition featured the Cure, Stormzy, the Killers, Janet Jackson,  Kylie Minogue, and more.
