Giuliana Rancic says leaving E! News was '100 percent' her decision

Speaking to the announcement that she would be leaving her daily hosting duties on E! News, Giuliana Rancic told People, “It was 100 percent my decision to leave.”

E! announced earlier this week that Rancic would be stepping down from her role, though continuing to host both Fashion Police and Live from the Red Carpet, but Rancic told People she had been interested in leaving long ago.

“I brought up the idea to leave three years ago, but E! News kept extending me because they wanted me to stay,” Rancic said.

” I want to grow as a person, as a businesswoman, as a host, and in order for me to grow, I need to take on a new venture and new challenges,” she continued.

Rancic denied that her comments earlier this year on Fashion Police about Zendaya, for which she later apologized, prompted the decision, reinforcing that she “had this plan way before” that occurred.
