Gisele Bündchen's 2024 Met Gala Appearance Will Shock Fans if This Rumor About Her Attendance Is True

Gisele Bündchen is one of many A-listers who are reportedly confirmed to be attending the 2024 Met Gala on May 6 but this year’s appearance may be her most unexpected yet if rumors about her plus one are true!

Page Six has confirmed that Bündchen, 43, will attend the Met Gala on May 6, the first Monday in May and now rumors are swirling about whether or not she will bring boyfriend Joaquim Valente to the high-profile event.

Bündchen has been a staple at the prestigious fashion event over the past three decades since making her debut at the 1995 event. In 2023, Bündchen attended the event alone for the first time in years after finalizing her divorce from husband Tom Brady in October 2022.

However, Bündchen might not be repeating her solo appearance this year after going public with her romance with Valente. After first sparking dating rumors with her jiu-jitsu trainer in November 2022, a source confirmed that the Bündchen’s relationship with Valente had turned romantic in June 2023.

“They’re taking it slow,” an insider told People in February 2024. “They started out as great friends. She’s very private about this and wanted to keep it quiet while they got to know each other.” A separate source added: “They come from similar backgrounds. They both left Brazil very young. Gisele’s in a great space. Joaquim is perfect for her.”

Bündchen has been coy about their romance but did speak about her and her kids’ experience training with Valente and his brothers in a March 2023 interview with Vanity Fair. “I think, at this point, unfortunately, because I’m divorced, I’m sure that they’re going to try to attach me to anything,” she said of the dating rumors circulating at the time after she was seen hanging out with Valente on several occasions. “I’m so grateful to know all of them, because not only have they helped me and helped my kids, but they have become great friends, and Joaquim especially.”

“He’s our teacher and, most importantly, he’s a person that I admire and that I trust. It’s so good to have that kind of energy, to have my kids around that type of energy.”
