A surprise to no parent with access to Youtube, baby whisperer and TV teacher to the little ones, Ms. Rachel, has released her first-ever children’s book — and it’s already selling huge on Amazon. The former childhood educator turned pied piper of tiny humans has the power to make any frowny baby smile. Her low-stimulation, learning-centric videos (which can garner as much as 100 million views per clip) help toddlers and babies form their first words with repetition and joy.

Joined by various singing friends and her husband, Ms. Rachel has received accolades from speech therapists, The New York Times and thousands of exhausted parents who just need a minute.
Ms. Rachel is a god in my household and I would follow her iconic ponytail and overalls into the very ocean if she asked, so yes, I’ll absolutely be supporting the good work this woman is doing just by giving everybody a short (but educational) break by purchasing “Ms. Rachel and the Special Surprise!: Encouraging Speech and Learning Through Play and Music.” However, it doesn’t look like she’ll need any help from us as her book is already number one on Amazon for Children’s School Issues.

‘Ms Rachel and the Special Surprise’
Similar to her videos, Ms. Rachel’s new book features 20 important milestones that you can strive for while reading. This picture includes the mystery box “what’s in the box, what could it be, do you want to take something out with me?” and illustrations from Monique Dong. “The book uses the same techniques as the show to encourage speech and 20 milestones, all through a playful story,” Ms. Rachel wrote on Instagram. You can pre-order the book, which will officially ship out on Sept. 24.
‘I Don’t Want to Read This Book Aloud’
Perfect for kids ages 4 to 8, this picture book is an irreverent tome for little readers who may not like reading aloud or even reading at all. According to the summary the book is “dedicated to introverts of all ages, about the horrors of reading aloud.” Greenfield collaborated again with best-selling illustrator Mike Lowery who excels and both creating adorable little characters and stunning typography. Pre-orders are currently available now and it will officially be released on September 19.

Russ & Daughters enthusiast Jake Gyllenhaal has also entered the world of children’s literature. Surprised that he couldn’t find any books about his new job as an Uncle, he was inspired to pen a new novel for the kids titles “The Secret Society of Aunts & Uncles.” Co-written by Greta Caruso and illustrated by Dan Santat, this book is the guide to the details of “auntology” and “uncleology” for kids.
‘You Are You’
actor and director Brian Klugman — best known for his role in “Bones” and his 2012 film “The Words” — has released his first book in support of mental health awareness. After becoming a parent last year, Klugman teamed up with the organization MindUP for Life to write a powerful children’s book “You Are You,” whose poetic verses serve as an instruction manual to kids everywhere on how to love themselves. Klugman will donate 100% of the book’s proceeds back to the MindUP program, a training program for parents, youth and educators to help overcome mental barriers to thrive in school and beyond.
In “You Are You,” Klugman uses rhythmic verse to help spread the message to kids everywhere the importance of loving your unique self. “As a new dad myself and having struggled with my own challenges as a child, I wanted to write something that would resonate with all children, no matter their background,” Klugman said in a statement. “It was also very important for me to find the right organization that I could donate my proceeds to so that we could reach more children and together bring this guide of self-love to the forefront.”
