A tag team match on the January 1 episode of WWE RAW ended prematurely due to an apparent injury to Giovanni Vinci.

Monday’s show marked the “Day 1” edition of RAW. Kofi Kingston and Jey Uso teamed up to face Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser of Imperium. The two teams battled back and forth, but the action abruptly stopped shortly after Kingston caught Vinci in mid-air with a dropkick. The kick seemingly rocked Vinci, and it looked like he hit his head on the mat.

The referee stopped the action, and the doctor entered the ring. The match was called off, and Kingston and Uso were declared the winners via stoppage.

Update: Vinci later took to Twitter and noted that he was fine.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
